Woken at 4am this morning. The third time in the last week - another cold front with winds of 30 - 40kts. Not too extreme really, but we have to check that we aren't dragging our anchor and that everything is secure. When a front passes, we have a generally rough day, although today wasn't too bad and we had glorious sunshine - probably as it was Bastien's (from Virage) fifth birthday. Bastien is unique amongst us for having spent 25% of his life living at sea - and it shows! Not much phases him, the 'special bit' from inside a conch (those who know will understand), all parts of a lobster and many other delights - all swallowed straight down!
This morning Shaka's alternator blew up, so tomorrow JC and I are going on a 'treasure hunt' to see if we can rustle up a replacement whilst the others try to catch supper for Bastien's offical party! We will meet at the Blue Hole to while away the afternoon . Hopefully! We can't really leave here for another couple of days (another cold front) so, we have a few activities of our own planned.

Staniel Cay and Farmers Cay, Exumas
- Swimming pigs, Conch removal lessons and sending the sail to Nassau for repair on the mailboat.
Waderick Wells, Exumas
- Our ripped sail, Waderick Wells National park and Maxwells birthday, celebrated with Anastasia, Clear Day and Sunrise.
Nassau and Sineads Projects
- A brief stop in Nassau while waiting for weather to pass. Time to finish the cockpit cushions, make courtesy flags, explore Atlantis resort and to try some local Conch salad mmmmm!
New Year and Junkanoo
- Our time in Lucaya, Grand Bahama around New Year. Fixing the Auto Pilot, Enjoying Junkanoo and some great Bahamian cooking Courtesy of Vincent, Mornette and her sisters.
Dolphins
- Swimming with these wonderful creatures who have accompanied us on so many trips and always make me smile and cry at the same time!
4th of July
- 4th of July Celebrations in Ridgefield Park with some of the Sweeney Clan. Followed by Fireworks on the Hudson in prime location aboard Foxy.
